This support can be offered on a one-to-one basis or in a small group setting. CV templates will be provided and mock interviews carried out with you, with a view to promoting your skills and developing on areas of weakness.
One-to-one sessions cost €65 per hour (with reduction in cost for subsequent hours booked)

Action Learning - The approach that refreshes the parts of organisations that other approaches cannot reach!
Recognising that there is a need to actively problem solve day to day management issues, we deliver action learning support as a process to assist managers.
This involves getting together with 6-8 people, who may be from either the same or different organisations, but who operate at the same level of management. This group is called the ‘set’, and it can meet as often as the group wishes, the purpose being to enable the participants to gain support from the others in resolving dilemmas that they confront in their work.
The Set is convened by an external facilitator who also ensures the successful initiation of the participants into the concept of the Action Learning process. Action Learning involves a number of sessions with the same group and therefore the learning gets deeper and deeper as trust and safety is built. It also strikes a balance between learning and action, so each participant gets to make sure that their learning is applied to their work. Action Learning works particularly well with managers and staff who:
- Have a reasonable degree of autonomy in their roles
- Do wide-ranging jobs, but may feel professionally isolated.
- Are new to a role
- Are experienced in their role, but need fresh perspectives.

We are actively working with a number of organisations/hospitals in their bid to attain accreditation. Our project management work with these services involves supporting the relevant personnel to have in place the necessary systems, structures and processes required by the accrediting bodies.
Our 5-Day Training of Trainers Programme on Policy, Guideline & Procedure Development is proving extremely popular. This programme has been shown to increase participants' confidence in document development & training skills.
The Joe Wolfe & Associates 2-Day Policy,Guideline & Procedure Development Training programme continues to be run nationwide and consistently receives excellent feedback. This multi-disciplinary programme is practical and skills based and can be run in-house for groups of up to 20 people.
As a follow-up to the above 2-Day Policy,Guideline & Procedure Development Training programme we have devised a 2-Day Quality and Audit training programme; the aim of which is to provide participants with a theoretical and practical understanding of quality management and the audit process. This programme has been well recieved and supports services and staff in their work towards accreditation. This programme is now registered with FAS.
Apart from the above training programmes in the development of policy documents we have devised a large range of policies that can be bought off-the-shelf and then amended to suit the organisations' specific needs. As we all know policy development in organisations requires considerable commitment in terms of staff time and resources. Purchasing a contemporary policy document and amending to reflect local service need can be highly resource and cost effective. We also continue to work directly with staff in the development of service specific policies and we support organisations in implementing policy systems.
Medication Management training and policy development remains an area of great interest nationally and in this regard we are providing the following services on an ongoing basis:-
- Safe Administration of Medication Training for Non-Nursing Staff (2-Day programme with examination)
- Clinical assessment of medication management skills of non-nursing staff
- Nebuliser and Oxygen Use training for non-nursing staff and clinical assessment of the skills.
- Medication Management Refresher programmes for Registered Nurses
- Stesolid and Midazolam Administration Training for Non-Nursing Staff
- 8-Day Training of Trainers Programme for Registered Nurses in Safe Administration of Medication Training for Non-Nursing Staff (run in Asssociation with Waterford Institute of Technology) - this programme equips registered nurses in your organisation to deliver our 2-day programme for non-nursing staff including carrying out a theoretical exam and clinical assessment.
Risk Assessment and Management are areas of importance across services and we have been providing a number of services nationally with training and consultancy support in this critical area. We have assisted in the development of service policy in risk assessment/management and we also provide training to multi-disciplinary staff.
Our Certificate in HealthCare Management (Skills Based) is now being delivered in association with Waterford Institute of Technology (WIT). 4 groups have successfully completed this programme nationwide. This programme is now registered with FAS.
We are currently delivering the following training programmes with regard to Abuse Prevention and Management to staff in services nationally across the health and social care sector :-
1 and 2 day abuse awareness programmes for frontline staff
2 day programme for frontline managers / staff involved in preliminary screening.
3-4 day programme for staff involved in investigating allegations of abuse
We are also supporting a number of organisations in policy development in this area.
Our 2 and 3 day Risk Assessment & Management Training is currently being delivered to staff in services nationally.
